Lenny the Legend
Tandarra Millennium (Lenny) is a 15/16th Morgan gelding by Karenza Apollo out of Mt Tawonga Century.
I had just missed out on buying Phelcrest Savannah when I found Lenny on an eastern states website. He was a 6yo unbroken almost pure Morgan - my idea of perfection! Circumstances seemed to conspire to bring us together. After a vet check and a personality analysis by Judy Oldmeadow, Joanne Hayes and Chris Maroni, I bought him sight unseen and then told Ashley- which is how he earned the temporary nickname "The Divorce Horse."
Luckily no divorce ensued and Lenny is now my number one riding horse, my powerhouse of performance. I use him for all of my day to day horse work – shifting the mares, leading the babies, breaking the youngsters. I also use him for cattle work when the opportunity arises. I depend heavily on him to be reliable and trustworthy and he never lets me down. Lenny and I do a lot of trekking and it is not unusual for me to spend half the day in the saddle on him. We also dabble in some endurance and bridle-less dressage.
Lenny epitomises a working horse. Clever, truly versatile, hooves of steel and a go all day work ethic. This is the type of horse we aim to breed here at Challa.
