Challa runs a herd of 1000 Santa Gertrudis - Droughtmaster breeders plus followers. We are starting to get some really nice genetics and our top line of cattle. We are on a continual journey of herd improvement. We have removed the wild scrub bulls from the property and now purchase quality Santa Gertrudis bulls. We are concentrating on culling the cows with horns for the next few years with the intention of phasing out dehorning. Our cattle are fed supplements to keep them in peak condition.
